Knife for my Dad

Well, I finally got the lead out and now I am 90%done with my second knife.  I am making this one for my dad, it’s his birthday in mid June and I am flying home to see the family in a few days.  I probably have close to 15 hours into this one and coming this far, I almost don’t want to give it to him.  It feels so good in the hand, the jimping on the spine feels great and I am impressed with my first attempt at making a knife with a lanyard hole.  I kinda borrowed the design of a Bark River knife, their Little creek.  Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, right?  Here are some quick pics of her so far:

Now all I need to do, is get a hair shaving edge on her, make a sheath and lanyard, and try to pick a name for her.  I’m liking Cairan, meaning Little beloved.
