Chiappa first introduced their new pack rifle, the Little Badger, last year at the NASGW show and I haven’t heard too much about it until now, but it got a lot more press at SHOT show. I think I will be getting one of these. It’s nearly identical to the concept of the M6 Scout survival rifle but it lacks the .410 barrel and ammo storage in the stock. In fact, this seems to be a reproduction of the bicycle rifle of decades past. As you can see in the picture, it has a simple wire stock with a small (~8rds) nylon ammo holder and given a little thought and ingenuity, one could easily find a way to readily store more ammo there. The sights are very impressive, protected blade front, and protected adjustable peep rear = perfect setup. Chiappa reps said it weighs 3.5 lbs and will retail for $170. I say again, $170. Very common man, budget survival rifle. I dislike the 1913 rails all over it, but looking at the pictures, it appears these will be removable.
Here’s a quick little video
