With her sentence served in gun jail, my Type 53 came home with me on the 19th. I find it rather fitting that I physically got a new rifle on the 238th anniversary of the opening shots of the Revolutionary war. She’s in rough shape, and I have a lot of Cosmoline to remove, but I hope under that heavily abused stock is something I can work with. Here’s some ‘glamour’ shots.

And is that rust under the cosmoline above the trigger or just lack of bluing?
Stock is crack free and all the metal parts are rust free except for 3 small spots on the magazine body
